Jon Walker is back, this time with a solution to a problem he calls "silver squeezing." Silver squeezing is a strategy that insurers in moderately competitive markets use to reduce the amount of subsidies available to Obamacare users. Walker argues that this strategy could be greatly curtailed by preventing insurers from offering multiple silver plans on the same exact provider network. States have the power to do this as well, not just the federal government.
