Bruenig outlines three different ways to design a child benefit: the American Family Act approach, the Canada Child Benefit approach, and the Universal Child Benefit approach. The UCB approach is the best approach. It is the perfect approach. Every other approach has problems the UCB does not have and has no advantages that the UCB doesn't also have.
