The Republican tax bill repeals Obamacare's individual mandate, making Obamacare one of the few welfare expansions in US history that has been significantly rolled back. Going forward, the Democrats will need a new agenda other than restore the individual mandate, which remains unpopular. That new agenda should be single payer.
