The Right has been pushing the idea that we could fix our country’s oil price woes by reviving the Keystone XL project. This project has become a major symbolic totem over the years, but in practical terms, the Keystone pipeline would not actually help us right now, even if it were already built. It’s also not built and would take 3 or more years to build.
