In this piece, we tackle the myth that transitioning to a single payer presents some kind of unique problem by removing people from employer plans. In reality, single payer only moves up the eventuality we all face of going on to Medicare at age 65 and presents the far greater pain that tens of millions of Americans face every single year: having their employer-provided care ripped out from them when they separate from a job.
