Eli Day argues that Obamacare's design disproportionately harms black people for two reasons. First, it maintains the employer-provided health care system, even though the black unemployment rate is twice the white unemployment rate. Second, its reliance on states to expand Medicaid means that the states where most black people live (namely the South) have avoided expanding coverage.
Single payer solves both issues.
